Preparing for your interview

Interview preparation is vital in order to have a successful interview.  

• Once you have had your initial phone screen, begin preparing for your virtual or in-person interview.

• It is important to understand the type of company whom you are interviewing with. Therefore, you should do some research on the company. Visit their social media pages if they have any so that you can understand their company culture. 

• Check for reviews. Read what current employees are saying about them. Whether they are positive or negative, some reviews may make a difference.

• Read over the job description so that you have a full understanding of what the expectations are. You need to know if you can and are willing to perform all of the job duties listed, including the working hours, benefits and salary if listed. 

• Create a list of five to six questions for you to ask the employer during your interview. You want to have a clear understanding of the position, company and expectations.
